TECHSOUP NEW ZEALAND - OUR NEW GLOBAL PARTNER
We are proud to announce the arrival of the long awaited software donations programme for New Zealand – TechSoup New Zealand. Just like DonorTec in Australia, TechSoup New Zealand has been specifically designed to build the ICT capacity of charitable organisations in New Zealand so that scarce funds can be invested into core activities rather than diverted to expensive IT software upgrades. DonorTec has already saved nonprofit and charitable organisations in Australia well over $23 million in less than 18 months of operation, and we are hoping for similar levels of success in New Zealand.

The TechSoup New Zealand Programme is initially provided by Community Information Strategies Australia (CISA), in partnership with TechSoup and in association with the New Zealand Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations (NZFVWO). CISA, Compumentor/TechSoup and NZFVWO are nonprofit organisations that are part of a global partnership for technology donations with companies such as Microsoft, with more companies to come.

TechSoup New Zealand is a good fit for those larger organisations wanting to standardise their operating systems and it accommodates smaller organisations as they become able to afford software that may previously have been unattainable. Via this program you can get all the latest Microsoft products and soon we will be adding more donors.

Eligible organisations stand to save between 92-96% on typical retail prices. For example TechSoup New Zealand offers Office Professional Plus 2007 for only  NZ$27.00. Please notify any affiliated charitable organisations you may have in New Zealand about this new programme and encourage them to register with us. WE ARE NOW USING FLICKR!

With the recent addition of Flickr to the DonorTec Program, we thought that we should give it a go ourselves. CISA (who operates the DonorTec Program) recently conducted the fifth annual Connecting Up Conference. We took a lot of photos so we have created a new Flickr profile  to share them with the world. Our Flickr profiles/photo stream is called “connecting up”. To view our profile please visit the following link http://www.flickr.com/photos/connectionup/

CISCO’S POPULARITY SOARS!

Once again DonorTec has exceeded global expectations by reaching its quarterly budget allocation well ahead of time. The consumption of Cisco products in Australia has been consistently higher than that of TechSoup’s global partners across the world since Cisco came aboard the donor program early last year. This means we are no longer able to accept Cisco orders until the beginning of our next budget allocation i.e. August 1 2008. We thank you for your continued support and allegiance to quality Cisco products and look forward processing your Cisco orders next quarter.
