Among the additions to the 2007 version are report templates; Visual Reports, for producing charts and diagrams in both Excel and Visio; the Cost resource type; and the Task Driver pane, which shows prerequisites and constraints for a selected task;

Project Standard cannot be connected to Project Server 2007 and integrated into the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution. Organizations that need these capabilities must use Project Professional 2007.
