Cisco Program Eligibility Criteria

About :

We are pleased to announce that the Cisco EMEA Program is an established donation service for charities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and now expanding to Asia-Pacific. Designed jointly by TechSoup Stock and Cisco Systems, this program offers donated Cisco networking products to qualified charities in Australia, Belgium, Poland, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom, and various other countries in Southern Africa through our partner NGOs.

To qualify for participation, an organisation must:

  • Be pre-approved by Donortec.
  • Have an annual budget of less than US$20,000,000 (around A$23m).
  • Have a legal charity designation.
  • If it is a federation, have no more than 20 affiliate organisations.

Cisco EMEA Restrictions

  • This donation is currently available only to EMEA charities that have a legal charity designation.
  • This program will distribute products only to qualifying organisations, not individuals.
  • An organisation must have an annual budget of less than US$20,000,000 (around A$23m).
  • During one fiscal year (July 1 – June 30), a single organisation may request one order of Cisco products in any combination. The combined administrative fees for all ordered items may not exceed US$2400. (A$2740).
  • Organisations that are affiliates of a larger organisation with no more than 20 affiliates may order products individually, providing each affiliate has its own legal charity designation.
  • An organisation must demonstrate that it has a technology line item in its budget and must be able to state the amount of that budget line item.
  • An organisation must demonstrate that the executive director or CEO of the organisation has requested the equipment.
  • Recipient organisations are required to sign an Equipment Donation Agreement.
  • Cisco may, at its sole discretion, provide "functionally equivalent" substitute product(s) for any request or order.
  • Cisco products may not be transferred or resold.

We encourage organisations that implement the following missions to seek Cisco donations:

  • Education
  • Health care
  • Basic needs of food, shelter, and health care

The following organisations are not eligible to receive Cisco donations:

  • Religious organisations without a secular community designation: A secular designation is defined as an organisation separate from the church or religious organisation that provides services to people regardless of their religious beliefs and does not propagate a belief in a specific faith. Example: A food bank with nonprofit or charity status that is run by a church, but is a separate and unique organisation that provides food and meals to anyone who qualifies for services, regardless of religious beliefs.
  • Foundations and grant-making organisations
  • Schools (Note: Some schools are in fact eligible for Cisco donations in African and Latin American countries. Contact the Partner NGO in your region in order to determine eligibility.)
  • Museums
  • Libraries
  • Camps
  • Zoos
  • Cultural and environmental education organisations
  • Any organisation that advocates, supports, or practices discrimination based on race, religion, age, ethnicity, national origin, language, size, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic background, or disability
