Cisco

Cisco orders suspended until August 2008

Some donors have a budget limit on the number of donations distributed in a single quarter and or financial year. Due to overwhelming demand, we regret to advise that the quarterly budget for Cisco donations via DonorTec has been met. Therefore we will be unable to take any new Cisco orders until after 1 August 2008. Those organisations who have already placed Cisco orders with DonorTec and returned the CISCO Donation agreement will be unaffected by this change. We will contact organisations individually whose Cisco order would be effected by this change. If you have any other questions, please Contact Us

Note - Orders for Microsoft donations remain open. For all inquiries please contact us
About :
The Cisco Donation Program is expanding eligibility in order to more closely align Cisco’s product donations with Cisco’s giving philosophy which focuses on building strong and productive global communities in which every individual has the means to live, the opportunity to learn, and the chance to give back. Additional nonprofits focused on basic human need services such as affordable housing and supplying goods and services to the poor will now be eligible provided they also meet other participation guidelines as outlined in the Cisco eligibility requirements. Recent changes to eligibility are also intended to standardise Cisco's U.S. and International donation programs. Please note that eligibility criteria are evaluated and may be modified on a quarterly and annual basis.

Please note that the Cisco donation program has a limited budget for donations that are given in a single quarter and financial year. Cisco retains the right to restrict the ability to place orders for Cisco donations at any time. Each applicant for a donation of Cisco products will be served on a 1st come - 1st served basis until the budget limit is met for that period. Whenever possible, outstanding requests to eligible organizations will be fulfilled in the next quarter. Orders that have been placed and paid for will take precedence over an order for Cisco products that remains un-paid.

Orders may be partially fulfilled: Due to the nature of the network design, product availability, and fiscal year schedules, all product donations are subject to change or delay without notice. Cisco reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent products — either new or refurbished — for any request or order.

Note that all donation recipients will still receive five years of Cisco SMARTnet product service and support at no additional cost (Linksys products not included). For more details, see the SMARTnet FAQ.

The Cisco Donation Program offers the following features and benefits:

Product Benefits:

  • A product set that includes all the Cisco equipment and hardware necessary to create a functioning network (only additional wiring may be required)
  • A wide variety of firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless products
Extended Benefits:
  • 5-year product service and support from Cisco ("SMARTnet") for your donated products at no additional cost (Linksys products not included).
SMARTnet Customer Service and Support Benefits:
  • Next day product replacement due to failure (provided that the request is received before 3 P.M. local time).
  • 24x7 access to Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) via phone, email or through Cisco.com.
  • Registered access to Cisco.com and all online service and support tools.
